Lorena C. Brown
Lorena Castellano Brown was born in Paysandú, Uruguay. With extensive experience in journalistic writing –she conducted interviews with presidents, politicians, writers and artists, among others, as well as coverage of various events–, she began her literary flight in 2015, with the series of nine children’s stories, Open Wings Stories.
Ani Palacios
Editor-in-chief of Contacto Latino and Pukiyari Editores, also conducts Primera Persona, a podcast about Latino literature. Palacios has won eight International Latino Book Awards for her novels. Her books include: Nos vemos en Purgatorio, Plumbago Torres y el sueño americano, 99 Amaneceres, Noche de Penas, No Strings Attached: Your Journey to Unconditional Loving, El último clóset, Paloma aventurera and Hay un muerto en mi balcón.
Camilo “Cam” Quevedo
Camilo “Cam” Quevedo is a trans-male artist from central Ohio who creates a variety of illustrations from the realistic to the cute and cartoony. He has been dedicated to his art for over nine years and continues to refine his craft through a multitude of projects, including an upcoming web-comic called Exoskeleton on Webtoons and a personal store where his sells buttons and prints of his illustrations.

Frederick Luis Aldama
Frederick Luis Aldama is Arts & Humanities Distinguished Professor of English, University Distinguished Scholar, and University Distinguished Teacher at The Ohio State University. He is the author, co-author, and editor of 34 books. His recent book, Latinx Superheroes in Mainstream Comics, just won the 2018 Eisner Award for Best Scholarly Work. He is editor and coeditor of 8 academic press book series as well as editor of Latinographix, a trade-press series that publishes Latinx graphic fiction and nonfiction. Aldama is creator of the first documentary on the history of Latinx superheroes in comics that will screen Sept. 28th at his co-founded SÕL-CON: Brown & Black Comix Expo in Columbus, Ohio. He is creator and curator of website, The Planetary Republic of Comics. He is author of the forthcoming sci-fi graphic novel, 2041 and the children’s book, With Papá. He is founder and director of the Ohio Education Summit Award, Columbus Council Award, and Obama White House Hispanic Bright Spot winning LASER/Latinx Space for Enrichment & Research. He has been inducted into the Academy of Teachers and National Cartoonists Society.
